Non-Golfer's Guide
Not everyone in the group plays golf — and that's more than okay. St. George and Mesquite offer world-class spas, Broadway shows under red rock cliffs, national parks, shopping, and scenic adventures that make this destination perfect for everyone, not just golfers.
🧖 Spa & Wellness
While the group is on the course, treat yourself to a world-class spa experience. Southern Utah has resort-level wellness options.
Red Mountain Resort Spa
Award-winning destination spa nestled against Snow Canyon. Hiking, yoga, and spa treatments in a stunning red rock setting. Day passes available.
💡 Tip: Book a half-day spa package while the group plays Entrada or The Ledges — both are 10 minutes away.
Sagestone Spa at Red Mountain
Hot stone massages, facials, and body treatments using local desert botanicals. Indoor/outdoor treatment rooms.
💡 Tip: The signature Sagestone massage uses heated river rocks — perfect for unwinding while your group battles the back nine.
Refresh Day Spa (St. George)
Downtown St. George spa offering massages, facials, and nail services. More affordable than the resort spas and easy to book same-day.
💡 Tip: Great for a quick massage between the group finishing their morning round and heading to dinner.
CasaBlanca Spa (Mesquite)
Full-service spa inside the CasaBlanca Resort. Massages, facials, body wraps, and a relaxation lounge. Convenient if you are staying at a Mesquite resort.
💡 Tip: Book ahead on weekends. After the spa, hit the pool — CasaBlanca has one of the best pool areas in Mesquite.
🎭 Shows & Entertainment
St. George has a thriving arts scene that most visitors miss. Broadway-quality shows, concerts, and galleries — all within 20 minutes.
Tuacahn Amphitheatre
A stunning outdoor amphitheatre set against towering red rock cliffs. Professional Broadway shows from June through October. Past shows include Wicked, Les Mis, and Beauty and the Beast.
💡 Tip: This is the crown jewel. Book tickets weeks in advance for popular shows. The setting alone is worth it — there is nothing else like it.
St. George Musical Theater
High-quality community productions year-round at the Electric Theater in downtown St. George.
💡 Tip: Check their schedule — shows are affordable and surprisingly good. Great for an evening when the golfers want an early night.
Mesquite Casino Entertainment
CasaBlanca and Eureka Casino host regular live music, comedy shows, and tribute bands. Check their event calendars for the week you visit.
💡 Tip: Most Mesquite shows are free or low-cost with resort stay. Perfect for the non-golfer who wants evening entertainment.
Art Galleries — Ancestor Square
Downtown St. George has a cluster of galleries in the historic Ancestor Square. Local and regional artists, often with evening events.
💡 Tip: The first Friday of each month features an art walk with wine and live music. Time your trip accordingly if possible.
🛍️ Shopping & Browsing
From outlet malls to boutique districts, there is plenty of shopping to fill a morning or afternoon.
Red Cliffs Mall & Outlets
The main shopping center in St. George with both a traditional mall and nearby outlet stores. Major brands at discount prices.
💡 Tip: The outlets have Nike, Under Armour, and Columbia — stock up on golf gear while the group is on the course.
Historic Downtown St. George
Walk Tabernacle Street and Main Street for unique boutiques, bookshops, cafes, and local art. A charming downtown with real character.
💡 Tip: Combine this with lunch at Painted Pony or Ancestor Square for a full downtown half-day.
Mesquite Town Center
Walmart, grocery stores, and local shops. Not glamorous but practical for stocking the vacation rental.
💡 Tip: Run errands while the group is playing, then surprise everyone with a stocked fridge and snacks at the rental.
📸 Scenic Experiences
Southern Utah is one of the most photogenic places on Earth. These experiences are unforgettable — golf or no golf.
Zion National Park
Only 45 minutes from St. George. Even a half-day visit to see the canyon floor, Emerald Pools trail, or the Riverside Walk is life-changing.
💡 Tip: Go while the group is playing two rounds. You'll have 6–8 hours — more than enough for the highlights.
Snow Canyon State Park
Lava tubes, slot canyons, and sand dunes — all in one small, accessible park. Less crowded than Zion with equally stunning scenery.
💡 Tip: Only 15 minutes from Entrada/Ledges. Perfect morning activity before the group finishes their round.
Grafton Ghost Town
An abandoned pioneer town near Zion with photogenic old buildings against a dramatic mountain backdrop. Free to visit.
💡 Tip: The cemetery and schoolhouse are iconic photo spots. Combine with a Zion visit for a full day.
Valley of Fire State Park
An hour from Mesquite, this Nevada state park has some of the most vivid red rock formations anywhere. Fire Wave trail is the highlight.
💡 Tip: Perfect day trip while the Mesquite golfers play Wolf Creek and Conestoga. Bring plenty of water.
